Bryan Schmitz, CIC

Bryan joined the SBS Insurance team in July of 2003.  He is a lifelong resident and farmer in Nemaha County. He grew up on a hog, cattle and crop farm north of Baileyville and is still actively engaged in the family farm.  

Bryan has used his strong agricultural background to work with farmers to protect their operations and crops.  As he learned the insurance business, he branched out into commercial and personal lines insurance to go along with farm and crop insurance.  Bryan passed the rigorous Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Exams in 2013.

After working as a producer and being part of the management team for SBS Insurance, Bryan took over the Presidents role for the organization in 2018.  At this same time, Bryan accepted a seat on the Kansas Association of Independent Agents board of directors, which he still holds.

Bryan’s passion in life has always been working with people and helping our communities thrive. He is active in the Knights of Columbus, 4-H, and several other community events.  In his free time Bryan likes to spending time with his wife, 4 children, son – in - laws, and grandchildren.  He also likes to hunt and fish.
